Experimental study on degradation of dyeing wastewater by pulse electro-coagulation.

A laboratory scale experiment was conducted to investigate degradation of recalcitrant dyestuff in water using pulse electro-coagulation method in respect of pulse duty factor,pulse frequency,current density and the duration of electrolysis.Comparative study was also made as to direct current(DC)electro-coagulation and single/double pulse electro-coagulation,showing the significant advantage of pulse electro-coagulation over DC electro-coagulation in terms of energy saving and the consumed amount of electrodes.
