Properties of reflection holograms recorded in cubic optically active photorefractive piezocrystals
2005
The thickness dependencies of output characteristics of reflection volume holographic gratings in optically active cubic photorefractive piezocrystals such as bismuth silicon oxide and bismuth titanium oxide of (001)-, (111)-, and (221)-cuts are theoretically investigated. Theoretical analysis is based on the coupled-wave theory for optically active crystals with taking the electro-optical, photoelastic, and piezoelectric effects into account. Optimal conditions for reaching the maximum values of the output energy characteristics of reflection hologram are determined.
