Improved SWCNT-Silica Mode-Locker for Generation of Stretched Pulse in Fiber Lasers

We have successfully obtained the stretched pulse using the improved SWCNT-incorporated silica films as the saturable absorber by sol-gel method in the passively mode-locked fiber laser for the first time. The generated pulses have a central lasing wavelength of 1555.2 nm, a spectral width of 14.4 nm, signal-to-noise ratio of about 55 dB and pulse duration of 2.43 ps.
