Efeito de Diferentes Plantas de Cobertura do Solo Sobre Alguns Atributos do Solo em Sistema de Produção Orgânico.

2009
This study was carried out to evaluate the effects of distinct cover crops on physical properties of an Oxisol in organic system of production using conventional soil tillage. The treatments were: Velvet bean, Sunn hemp, Dwarf-pea, Sorghum broom. The fallow was used as a control treatment. The soil physical attributes were analyzed in the layers of 0.00-0.10 m, 0.10-0.20 m e 0.20-0.30 m depth. The cover crops management was made at the time of flowering, when the crop residues were incorporated into the soil profile. No significant differences were found between depths to the total porosity, microporosity and bulk density for different cover crops. For S index was observed for all depths values less than 0.035. The aggregates percentage larger than 2 mm and the aggregates mean geometric diameter were higher in areas whit sorghum.
