Crossing of Hostile Borders: Displacement and Borders in the artwork of Tanja Ostojić and Bern O'Donoghue

2017
This article will explore how art can help audiences to think and feel about migration differently, by focusing on two political art projects: Tanja Ostojic’s Misplaced women? (2009-present) and Bern O'Donoghue’s Dead Reckoning (2015- present). These projects are based on experiences of crossing hostile borders. Both artists’ work explores personal, social and political aspects of displacement.
