Study on Domestic Sewage Treatment by a New Biofilm Reactor

This paper has studied a new biofilm reactor—water power rotating biofilm reactor.The result shows that optimum HRT is 4hr, this equipment can remove N effectively, when HRT is 8hr, removal rate can reach 62.5%, N is removed through simultaneous nitrification and denitrification, and BOD5 area load of 5-7g/(m2.d)is recommended.
