Procedure and detection system for monitoring the speed of an elevator car

Detection system (1) for controlling the speed of an elevator car, comprising - a measurement system (5A, 5B) designed to register a movement of the drive pulley driving the elevator car and a counterweight, and - a computer (2) which is designed to analyze signals of a measuring system (5A, 5B) and, if an unauthorized speed elevator car with respect to a reference speed deviation, start a process of deceleration and opening a safety circuit (3), wherein the detection system (1) is designed to control, after a certain time (time 3) from time zero safety circuit (3) detected in state open, the speed of the elevator to see if it is less than a stop speed (vstand_still).
