2009
Objective To explore the role of comprehensive intervention for personality formation of adolescent patients with schizophrenia, and to observe the efficacy of comprehensive intervention and the effect on relapse. Methods A total of 198 adolescent patients with first-episode schizophrenia were randomly divided into the intervention group (study group) and the simple drug treatment group (control group),and they were followed-up to 18 years old. Positive and Negative Symptoms Scale(PANSS)was used to assess the efficacy. The personality of two groups was evaluated with Eysenck Personality Questionnaire(EPQ). Results The relapse rate of the study group was significantly lower than that of the control group.Total score and N,P subscale scores of PANSS in study group were significantly lower than those of control group. The subscores of P and N of EPQ in the control group were significantly higher than those the study group, but the subscores of E and L were opposite. Conclusion The comprehensive intervention could play the role of reducing the relapse rate ,improving efficacy, reducing and preventing changes of personality.
