A novel laboratory model for the film coating of microparticles

Microparticles were fluidized by compressed air and polymer dispersion was sprayed from the top. Experimental conditions required for the optimum efficiency of the apparatus were determined by film coating glass beads of two different sizes and aspirin granules with Eudragit RS, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, methylcellulose, and sodium carboxymethylcellulose
