The invention relates to a charge air cooler (1) for an internal combustion engine. The charge air cooler (1) comprises a heat exchanger (2) having a plurality of fluid paths (3) to flow through the charge air to be cooled (5). Further, the charge air cooler comprises (1) mounted on a heat exchanger (2) and with fluid paths (3) communicating collector (9). In this case, a lower portion of the collector (9) as condensate-receiving region (5) for receiving condensed charge air (5) is formed. In the collector (9) is further disposed a pipe body (8) which delimits a flow-through both of condensed and non-condensed charge air (5) fluid passage (18).
