TINGKAT PENDIDIKAN IBU DENGAN STATUS GIZI BALITA DI PUSKESMAS PLERET

Background: The state of malnutrition the cause of a third of all causes of child mortality worldwide . The Province of Yogyakarta (DIY) in 2012 figures infant with less nutritional status of 8.45% prevalence of children under five suffer from malnutrition problems are found it is still high in Kulon Progo and Bantul is equal to 9.92 % and 9.70 %. Objective: To know relationship between level of maternal education with nutritional status of children under five Methods: This study uses Analytical survey with cross sectional approach. 88 samples were taken by simple random sampling technique. The data was analized by Kendall Tau with a confidence level of 99% and a 0,01. Result: Results showed mothers with higher education was 12.5 % have infant nourished by 81.9 % , and no one has infant with malnutrition status and poor nutritional status. Mothers with primary education have infant with malnutrition status of 11.8 % and a infant with poor nutritional status of 5.8 % .
