Network Time Synchronization in Power Dispatching Communication Based on IEEE1588

Considering the disadvantages of traditional time setting methods based on GPS in power dispatching automation system,a new time setting approach based on the IEEE1588(IEC61588) standards is proposed and it points out the future development of the IEEE1588 in dispatching automatic system.The results indicate the high precision,economy,safety and reliability of proposed method,which provides technical support for construction of smart power grid.
