Genetic analysis of quantitative phenotypes in AD and MCI: imaging, cognition and biomarkers
2014
The Genetics Core of the Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI), formally established in 2009, aims to provide resources and facilitate research related to genetic predictors of multidimensional Alzheimer' sd isease (AD)-related phenotypes. Here, we provide a systematic review of genetic studies published between 2009 and 2012 where either ADNI APOE genotype or genome-wide associ- ation study (GWAS) data were used. We review and synthe- size ADNI genetic associations with disease status or quanti- tative disease endophenotypes including structural and Data used in preparation of this article were obtained from the Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) database (adni.loni.ucla.edu). As such, many investigators within the ADNI con- tributed to the design and implementation of ADNI and/or provided data but did not participate in analysis or writing of this report. A complete listing of ADNI investigators can be found at: http://adni.loni.ucla.edu/
