Short-wave line-of-sight detection system ionospheric clutter Analysis and suppression methods

2018
Short-wave Line-of-Sight Radar (HFLSR) is a new type radar detection system, which is used for Stealth Aircraft detection in recent years. The clutter of HFLSR was analyzed in the paper. There are three types clutter, which is ground-sea clutter, ionospheric direct reflect clutter and ionospheric back scatter clutter. It is proposed to use horizontally polarized antenna to suppress the near-surface sea clutter, suppress the direct reflection of the ionosphere by selecting the appropriate working frequency, and suppress the ionospheric return-scattering clutter by using the large time-width signal.
