Current–voltage and X-ray measurements in Fe3O2BO3

2001
Abstract We report a current–voltage ( I – V ) study on Fe 3 O 2 BO 3 between 145 and 330 K. In this temperature range the material is paramagnetic and present charge ordering below 220 K. Up to 190 K the I – V isotherms present two jumps, each which shift to lower voltages as temperature increases. At these jumps there is hysteresis. Within this range it is believed that the material presents a Wigner Glass Phase. Above 200 K, the I – V isotherms present a non-linear behaviour which is enhanced with temperature and is similar to that presented by charge density waves in TaS 3 . X-ray measurements do not show any structural change between 90 and 340 K.
