Structural and Sedimentological Criteria for Traps Prediction in Miocene Deposits, Abin-Ukrainian Field

Research area is located within southern flank of the West Kuban Trough. The final stages of the trough forming are connected with both the intensive growth of Caucasia orogen and the thick molasses filling. This has led to the post and synsediment tectonic processes and, as consequence, all this has been the reason of forming of the oil-fields with the specific geological complexity which are greatly differ from the HC traps in a platform conditions. Most of the fields in this area are mature. However structural analysis and sedimentological researches have been conducted quite rare and, commonly, in the initial exploration stage. As a result these parts of the structures, which were not enough studied by the drilling, are remained disputed. This has predetermined a need of the wells and seismic data review on the basis of modern techniques of of geological interpretation.
