PLANTS FOR THE WET PROCESSING OF IRRADIATED FUEL ELEMENTS

A brief description is given of the industrial procedures for the wet processing of irradiated fuel elements with natural and enriched U. The general aspects of the problems of handling hot fuel elements are indicated. The chemical procedures used and the characteristics of the plants are discussed. (J.S.R.)
