INVESTIGATION OF THE COMPLIANCE OF THE GYNECOLOGICAL CLINICIANS WITH HAND-WASHING AND INTERVENTION MEASURES

2010
Objective To investigate the compliance of the clinicians with hand-washing and propose intervention measures in the department of Obstetrics Gynecology in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University. Methods Random sampling and field observation were used in this study. Results Before and after examining patients, the compliant rates of clinicians with hand-washing were 4.9% and 41.7% respectively. The clinicians often used gloves instead of washing hands. Conclusion The compliant rate with hand-washing is low,and the facilities of hand-washing and immediate-effect disinfectants are not prepared enough for the clinicians.Realization of the importance of hand-washing for the clinicians should be improved and the facilities of hand-washing should be improved as well.
