The authors find it necessary to focus particular attention on present)day questions and problems in settlements' planning health and safety due to the introduction of innovative processes in science, reform of central authorities, the reorga) nization of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service of Ukraine. The legislative and regulatory framework on settlements' planning hygiene was analyzed and specific measures for the legislative regulation of problematic issues were suggested.
