The Ecological Situation in Contaminated Areas of Oil and Gas Exploration in Atyrau Region

Abstract Oil and gas, as the main levers of economic prosperity of the republic, are the main sources of pollution of the environment (air, water, soil, etc.). For the extraction, transportation, processing and use of energy resources as its presence is observed on the surface of the earth. Major oil and gas reserves according to geological data are concentrated in the west of Kazakhstan, more precisely in the Caspian lowlands, including at the bottom of the Caspian Sea.
