A simulation Model for Predicting the Performance of PV Powered Space Heating System in Egypt

In this work, two main renewable energy resources are considered, the solar energy and biomass energy. The mathematical model and simulation of the global space heating system components (the thermal and the electrical subsystems) are developed. It is observed that the overall power management strategy is effective and the power flows among the PV arrays, batteries and the load demand is balanced successfully in the electrical subsystem. While in the thermal subsystem, the results show that the designed control techniques enables the space heating system to be in correct operation during night hours and cloudy days.
