Investigation of cognition and demand situation on nursing of Traditional Chinese Medicine among chronic disease suffers

Objective To investigate the cognition and demand situation on nursing of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) among chronic disease suffers.Methods Totals of 120 chronic disease suffers were investigated with self-designed questionnaires including general information,cognition situation on TCM,needs for TCM and so on.Results Among 120 patients with chronic disease,83.33％ patients had received the guidance of TCM.The needs of TCM nursing in order were Chinese diet nursing,emotional care,medicine guidance,rehabilitation guidance,knowledge of prevention and living care and the knowledge about TCM nursing practice.And 54.17％ chronic disease suffers knew the knowledge about the TCM through their colleague and friends.Conclusions It is necessary to increase the propaganda of knowledge about TCM so as to exert the features and advantages of TCM nursing.
