Study of molecular mobility in polyethers and in crosslinked polyurethanes based on these polymers

1975
Abstract EPR and dielectric loss measurements were used in investigations of molecular mobility in diol polyethers based on THF and α-oxides as well as in diol copolymers of diethylene glycol and adipic acid and in polyurethanes based on copolymers of THF and propylene oxide. The coefficients of rotational diffusion and the activation energies for the relaxation and diffusion processes were determined. Investigations of the diol polyethers and polyurethanes showed linear relationships between the activation energies and logarithms of the preexponential factors for the correlation times and relaxation times. These relationships are discussed in respect to filled and unfilled polymers.
