Panoramic Exposure Techniques Using an Intraoral Tube

A description is given of the potential and limitations of the panoramic exposure techniques using an intraoral tube. The apparatus used was a Philips StatOralix. The paper discusses the principles of the method, the detail perceptability and the radiation dosimetry, and its advantages and disadvantages. The conventional extraoral dental examination technique and the rotational technique are compared with the intraoral technique.
