Nature quality indicators in agriculture

Criteria for the application of nature quality indicators in agriculture are developed in this chapter. Some recent attempts to design nature quality indicators are reflected on. In addition, a yardstick is proposed for biodiversity as an instrument to quantify and judge biodiversity on individual holdings. In order to serve analyses on the effects of nature conservation measures, the precision of the yardstick can be improved through the provision of detailed monitoring data on various species.
