The above considerations indicate an actual possibility and desirability for some revision of the Regulations on the International Practical Temperature Scale on the basis of the latest experimental data obtained with gas thermometers. 2. Before adopting a final decision regarding a revision of the Practical Temperature Scale the new values of the temperature reference points in combination with the former method of interpolation can be recommended for the cases when the temperature measurement result needs to be expressed in degrees of the thermodynamic temperature scale.
