Facile synthesis of CuS@ZnO core-shell structured composite: A lightweight material with efficient electromagnetic absorption

Abstract Pursing high-performance electromagnetic wave absorbers to overcome the threatening of the electromagnetic pollution is of great importance. In this study, a core-shell structured CuS@ZnO composite was prepared by a facile two-step method. The minimum reflection loss (RL) value of −40.52 dB can be achieved with the thickness of 1.5 mm. And the corresponding effective bandwidth of 4.06 GHz (13.94–18.00 GHz) was reached. We believed that this study may provide an effective reference for achieving the optimal electromagnetic absorbers.
