Elaboração e validação de vídeo educativo para familiares de crianças com leucemia em uso de cateter semi-implantável

Objectives: to identify topics for the elaboration of an educational video on home care for children with leukemia using a semi-implanted catheter from the perspective of family caregivers; seek scientific evidence to support the elaboration of the educational video on home care provided by the family member to the child using CVCSI; elaborate an educational video for family members of children with leukemia using a semi-implantable catheter; validate educational video on home care for children with leukemia using CVCSI with expert judges and target audience. Methodology: methodological research, carried out in seven stages. 1st stage: search for topics through interviews with family members of children with leukemia using CVCSI; 2nd stage: theoretical study for the theoretical foundation of the video; 3rd stage: development of the educational video; 4th stage: validation of the educational video with expert judges; 5th stage: adequacy of the educational material; 6th stage: validation of the educational video with family members of children with leukemia using CVCSI and 7th stage: final adequacy of the educational material. The research was approved by the ethics committee with the respective numbers 3.469.941 and 3.335.505. Results: in the interviews with family members, the following themes were identified: hand hygiene and catheter dressing, care to keep the catheter dressing at home; catheter fixation; care of the catheter at bath time; and, feelings related to complications with the catheter. From these, the educational video in 2D animation was created, which was validated by the expert judges with a 97% agreement index, and later adaptations to the video suggested by the judges were selected to complement and qualify the contents related to the proposed product, seeking better educational consistency from the video. After the adequacy of the video, the video was validated by the family members, which resulted in 100% validity of the material. Conclusion: the research had methodological rigor to create a reliable and validated educational technology that can be used by professionals in healthcare practice as health education for this clientele
