A complete TUPVP with "both sides outflanking" method: a report of 30 cases

Objective To introduce a method and technique of transurethral plasmakinetic resection of prostate (TUPRP).Methods A total of 30 patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) had undergoing TUPRP during the period of July 2004 to February 2013.Results The procedure was successfully performed on all the patients.The surgical duration was 25 to 120 min and the volume of bleeding was 30 to 400 ml.No serious complications including water intoxication occurred.Conclusions TUPVP is proven to be reasonable and easy to master.It greatly increases the efficiency and safety of the proceudure and is efficacious.
