KONTRIBUSI POWER OTOT TUNGKAI TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN TENDANGAN SABIT SISWA EKSTRAKURIKULER PENCAK SILAT SMP NEGERI 1 KUNTO DARUSSALAM

This research is motivated by the low ability of the sickle kick of the Pencak Silat extracurricular students of SMP Negeri 1 Kunto Darussalam. The purpose of the study was to determine the contribution of leg muscle power to the sickle kick ability of the Pencak Silat extracurricular students of SMP Negeri 1 Kunto Darussalam.. A total sample of 22 athletes with a sampling technique using a proposive sampling technique. The tests used in this study were the standing broad jump test and the sickle kick speed test. To analyze the data used product moment correlation technique.Based on the results of research that has been carried out on extracurricular pencak silat students at SMP Negeri 1 Kunto Darussalam, it can be concluded that there is a contribution of leg muscle explosive power to the sickle kick ability of students in extracurricular martial arts at SMP Negeri 1 Kunto Darussalam 22.92% with a rather low category
