Experimental modeling of the solubility of carbon dioxide in aqueous solution of monoethanolamine +1, 3-diaminopropane

2019
Abstract The solubility of carbon dioxide in aqueous solutions of 10 wt% MEA + 5 wt% DAP and 12.5 wt% MEA + 2.5 wt% DAP is measured over a temperature range of 313.15 to 333.15 K and pressure ranging from 13 to 215 kPa using pressure decay method. The solubility of CO 2 increases by decreasing temperature at constant pressure and increasing pressure at constant temperature. The results showed that CO 2 solubility increases with increasing DAP concentration. The Kent-Eisenberg improved model is used to correlate experimental results with good agreement.
