The NADA Treatment (NADA Protocol) is a basic treatment of addiction, psychiatric diseases and posttraumatic patients. Ear acupuncture is an important part of the treatment process. Effects are better if acupuncture is performed in an open groupsetting. The treatment reduces symptoms, improves physiological sleep, improves relaxation and concentration and awareness, helps patients in the detoxification process of substance abuse and makes them more open for therapy: compliance increases. There are multiple scientific studies about the effects of ear acupuncture in addiction patients. NADA Treatment is widely used for 25 years in the US and in the recent 10 years in Europe. In Germany 230 facilities use the NADA Protocol in the treatment of psychiatric patients and patients with addiction.
