Study on genetic diversity and phylogenetic relationship of germplasm resources about Vaccinium spp.

2010
The genetic diversity and phylogenetic relationship of 93 Vaccinium spp. germplasm were studied by simple sequence repeat (SSR). There were 164 alleles in all which were amplified by 22 primers and the percentage of polymorphic bands are 96.97%. Shannon’s diversity index were distributed between 0.305 2 and 0.572 7, whose average was 0.432 2. When Threshold value lay in 0.70, the resources for testing were divided into five groups, which were low bush blueberry(including V. angustifolium Aiton. and V. myritilloides Michaux.), V. macrocarpon L., V. ashei Reade, V. macrocarpon L. and V. uliginosum L. Among tested resources, each other’s Phylogenetic Relationships of V. angustifolium Aiton.,Low bush blueberry and V. ashei Reade. were further and further in sequence. The same situations appeared in the mutual phylogenetic Relationships of V. uliginosum L., V. macrocarpon L. and V. ashei Reade., whose genetic distances were also further and further from first to last. The study showed that the genetic diversity of population tested was not high and the genetic bases of V. ashei Reade, V. macrocarpon L. and part resources belonging to V. macrocarpon L. were narrow. The utilizations of wild resources and the hybridization between species should be improved during the future breeding work.
