Licheni e inquinamento atmosferico : Qualità dell'aria nella zona metropolitana di Palermo

There are described the first data concerning the use of lichens as monitoring system-of the atmosferic pollution in the metropolitan site of Palermo. There are carried the lichen vegetation, their distribution in the urban site of Palermo and the data of analitical determinations of heavy metals in the Xanthoria parietina and Ramalina lacera thalli. In the same samples, collected in the study area, in green areas, city gardens and residential zones, Chlorophyll content has been measured.
