Safe + well green paper: redefining housing affordability

In Canberra, one of the greatest drivers of inequality is housing affordability. Issues include the lack of community housing options and the rental stress experienced by low-income earners in private rentals.  The purpose of this Green Paper is not to present a definitive list of recommendations, but to highlight the range of options available to the ACT Government.  Housing affordability in the ACT is a complex issue, and sustainable solutions will require engagement from government, the community sector and the private sector. The Safe & Well Green Paper was launched during 2015 ACT Anti-Poverty Week.
