Comparative account of heavy metal analysis of selected plant species by ICP-AES

The presence of some heavy metals in selected medicinal plants belonging to different families was investigated. The elemental analysis of root, fruit & even whole plant powders of Ocimum sanctum (OS), Ocimum kilimandsacharicum (OK), Garcinia mangostana (GM), Swertia chirayata (SC), and Andrographis paniculata (AP) was done by ICP-AES.
