Concept Development of an Expert System for Selecting the Optimal Composition of a Multicomponent Blast-Furnace Charge and Functional and Algorithmic Structure

The conceptual foundations, as well as the functional and algorithmic structure of an expert system for selecting the optimal composition of a multicomponent blast-furnace charge, have been presented. The concept of producing the system assumes: the use of a complex of mathematical models to describe the physical and chemical processes of melting and recovery of materials considering their radial distribution inside the furnace; the formation of technological restrictions based on the generalization results of technological practice and requirements for the conditions and characteristics of blast furnace smelting; use of the method of multicriteria optimization of the charge based on the compromise between criteria of optimality and technological restrictions. The results for solving the optimization problem of the blast-furnace charge explores the development of scientifically and technologically sound recommendations regarding the directed formation of the component composition of a charge under changing charge conditions of blast-furnace smelting.
