Mounting and coupling of an opto-electronic sensor on a disc as well as construction of the sensor

1994
An optoelectronic sensor (1) for detecting foreign bodies, in particular raindrops on a windshield, has an outer (2) and an inner housing part, as well as a fastening device (4) glued to the pane (5). Guided in the outer housing part (2) are fastening means that consist for example of two slides (6) that may engage the fastening device (4) for fastening the sensor (1) to the pane (5). Inside the sensor (1), the inner housing part that carries the optoelectronic elements of the sensor (1) is biassed towards the pane (5) by the force of springs resting against the outer housing part (2) in order to establish an optical coupling with the pane.
