Raman study of the triplex-like complex formation of polyuridylic acid and diadenosine monophosphate: influence of nickel ions

Abstract To carry on our investigation on triplex-like complex formation of diadenosine monophosphate (ApA) analogues with polyuridylic acid (polyU), the formation, structure and thermal stability of ApA:polyU complexes in the presence of divalent ions have been studied by means of Raman spectroscopy. The effect of nickel ions is discussed and compared with that of magnesium ions under the same conditions.
