A method for performing a measurement of a combined medical imaging apparatus

The invention relates to a method for performing a measurement of a combined medical imaging device, a measuring unit, a magnetic resonance apparatus and a computer program product. In order to enable optimal utilization of the measurement time of a combined medical imaging device, the method for performing a measurement of a combined medical imaging device comprises the following steps: - Prepare a first measurement via a first imaging modality of the combined medical imaging device, wherein the scheduling the first measurement comprises a set of first imaging parameters for the first measurement, wherein the scheduled first measurement with the first imaging parameters having a first measurement period, - Prepare a second measurement via a second imaging modality of the combined medical imaging device, wherein the scheduling of the second measurement comprises a set of second imaging parameters for the second measurement, wherein the scheduled second measurement with the second imaging parameters having a second measurement period, wherein the second measurement duration shorter than the first measurement duration, - optimizing the second imaging parameters of the second measurement, where optimized second imaging parameters are generated such that the optimized second measurement with the optimized second imaging parameters having an optimized second measurement time, which is adjusted to the first measurement duration, and - performing the planned first measurement means of the first imaging modality and the optimized second measurement using the second imaging modality.
