The Effect of Irradiation Conditions on Photodegradation of a Impact Resistant Polyphenylene Sulfide-Based Composite

In this paper, we study the effect of the spectral composition of light and temperature on the change in colorimetric characteristics during accelerated tests of the light resistance of a composite based on glass-filled polyphenylene sulfide. The activation energy of photodestruction is determined. The revealed patterns indicate the promising use of colorimetry as a nondestructive method of stability testing of polyphenylene sulfide-based materials.
