A CASE OF MALIGNANT FIBROUS HISTIOCYTOMA OF THE MAMMARY GLAND

A 63-year-old female complaining of a palpable tumor in the right breast underwent resection of the tumor in October, 1986. After one year, 2 tumors recurred in the same site, and modified mastectomy was carried out. Histological findings of the resected tumors were leiomyoma with borderline malignancy for the primary tumor, and malignant fibrous histiocytoma for the recurred ones. Here we presented this case of malignant fibroushistiocytoma of the breast which showed an interesting course, together with 11 cases reported in the Japanese literature.
