Concentration of thermal and mechanical stresses in graphites

1. The sensitivity of graphites to grooves is proportional to the apical radius of the groove and inversely proportional to the granularity of the graphite. 2. The concentration of thermal stresses is of the same character as the concentration of mechanical stresses.
