The charge density distributions of 116Sn and 124Sn

Abstract Elastic electron scattering cross sections have been measured up to a momentum transfer q = 3.6 fm − , determining with precision both the charge densities ϱ ( r ) and the charge density difference Δϱ( r ) between 116 Sn and 124 Sn. An excellent agreement is found between the measured value of Δϱ ( r ) and the predictions of self-consistent field theories.
