Air quality monitoring results of different stages in clean operating rooms.

2010
OBJECTIVE To investigate the air quality of different stages in clean operating rooms.METHODS Static air sampling method(natural sedimentation method)and dynamic air sampling method(the number of bacterial colonies were monitoring at different stages)were used to sample the air in clean operating rooms(Grades 102 and 104)in some hospitals in Beijing, and the leak tests was performed by the filter.RESULTS According to the surveys of 2008 and 2009,the exceed allowable limit rate of static sampling air was less than 9.40%.The results of dynamic sampling showed that the total bacterial number in air of dynamic state exceeded the standard value of Standard for the contaminant control in clean operating department of hospitals, with 41.67% of the clean operating rooms in 2008;leak tests indicated that the leakage existed in 50.00% of the filter. After repair,100.00% of the filter passed the 2009 leak tests, and the dynamic microbiological monitoring results released that the unqualified rate was only 5.00%.The dynamic monitoring results of the concentration of bacteria in air in different stages showed that the static sate(non-operating state)was lower and the concentration increased gradually from the beginning of surgery and then began to decrease slowly after the suturing.CONCLUSION Compared to static monitoring indicators, dynamic monitoring indicators which are much more sensitive and effective can better indicate the actual air quality in clean operating department.
