Fe-Doped YBCO Single Crystals Grown By Crystal Pulling

2000
Fe-doped YBa2Cu3O7-δ (Fe-YBCO) single crystals were grown by a crystal pulling technique. Cu sites substituted by Fe were realized up to 5.83% due to varying Fe content in the liquid in the range of 0–3.73 mol%. The increasing substitution of Fe at Cu sites resulted in decreasing superconducting transition temperature (Tc), which was strongly dependent on the annealing temperature. A crystal growth model of Fe-YBCO solid solution was also discussed.
