Severe facial oedema associated with orf in an Irish sheep flock

SIR, — We wish to report an atypical presentation of contagious pustular dermatitis (orf) in a sheep flock in the west of Ireland, in which extensive facial oedema was a major presenting feature. The affected flock consisted of 55 Texel cross lambs, aged three to four months. They had been weaned
