Monitoreo continuo de calidad y seguridad en subestaciones transformadoras urbanas

2021
During the summer period, the urban transformer substations work in a critical condition due to environmental factors and excessive demand. This condition, added to hot spots, dynamic changes in demand, imbalance among phases and natural wear, cause a progressive aggravation of the substation's operating state. The technological convergence driven by the IoT (Internet of Things) allows, especially due to the drastic reduction of costs, to propose solutions in unexpected situations. This “new” information feeds decision-making processes using Big Data paradigms and computational intelligence. Therefore, a continuous monitoring system of electrical, acoustic, mechanical, and thermal quality variables for SETs was developed and implemented. The acquired information makes it possible to infer the evolution of its operational status, minimizing the environmental impact and ensuring energy quality.
