Summary by the Chairman

Research work carried out under the heading of Working Party 3 covers a wide spectrun of topics which can be conveniently classified under the title “Aerosols”. However it would be too simplistic not to realise that this single title encompasses projects dealing with the formation of atmospheric aerosols their size, concentration and diurnal variation. Added to that this working party also concerns itself with the chemical characterisation of the aerosol and with measuring devices.
