Conversion of NO in C_3H_6/NO/N_2/O_2 Mixtures by DBD Plasma Reactor

By using a self-designed non-thermal plasma reactor,the effects of initial concentration of C_3H_6 on the NO conversion in C_3H_6/NO/N_2/O_2 with emission spectroscopy diagnosis was studied. The results indicated that there were power points corresponding to C_3H_6 totally consumed at different initial concentration of C_3H_6.Before the discharge power arrived at corresponding power points,the conversion rate of NO grew with the increasing of the initial concentration of C_3H_6 under the same discharge power.The concentration of NO_2 increased firstly and then decreased with the rising of discharge power,and the variation of the concentration of O_3 was similar with that of NO_2. Adding C_3H_6 could improve the NO_x conversion efficiency and reduce energy consumption.N_2 emission spectral intensity in C_3H_6/NO/N_2/O_2 was greater than that in NO/N_2/O_2,which indicated that adding C_3H_6 would affect the amount and distribution of active substances to influent the NO conversion mechanism.
